The Metropolitan Detroit Volunteer Administration Network (MDVAN) is a professional organization strengthening the competencies of those who lead volunteers. Membership in MDVAN helps Charity Music fulfill their mission by :
Offering a forum for professional support and personal growth, both formal and informal.
Providing expertise in the field of volunteerism.
Sharing ideas, information and resources among colleagues in the volunteer ism field.
Enriching volunteers, volunteer programs and volunteer managers.
Encouraging collaborative efforts, professional status and program services.
Advocating local volunteer ism issues.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) exists to foster the development and growth of fundraising professionals, to preserve and enhance philanthropy and volunteerism, and to promote the highest ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
AFP sponsors monthly educational programs and special events throughout the year including Professional Advancement Day, Diversity Day, and National Philanthropy Day. Charity Music Inc membership provides development opportunities, and an excellent way to network with nonprofit colleagues.
