Can I receive a Tax Deduction for my donation? Yes, Charity Music Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, and all contributions are deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code.
How do I donate? Items can be sent to: Charity Music Inc., 14975 Congress Drive, Sterling Heights Michigan 48313-4420. If you would like us to pick up an item simply call 586-247-7444 or email donations@charitymusic.org
What about financial donations? Checks should be made payable to: Charity Music Inc., and sent to the address above. You may also donate by using the Pay Pal "Make a Donation" link found at the bottom of this page. Donations as small as $5.00 will be greatly appreciated.
Musical Instruments! What kind can I donate? We accept any and all Musical Instruments regardless of age or condition. Also anything that pertains to Music such as Music Books, Sheet Music, etc.
What happens to the Instrument that I donate? Older Instruments are restored, and used in our Vintage Musical Instrument Exhibit for all to enjoy. Playable Instruments are made available, on loan, at no charge to individuals wishing to explore their hidden musical talents. We Do Not sale donated instruments.
Tickets! What kind can I donate? We accept tickets for any and all events regardless of type or location, such as Concert, Theatre, Movie, Football, Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, etc. Where possible, we would like to receive the tickets (2) two weeks prior to the actual event. You may also sell the tickets on Stub Hub and have the proceeds deposited directly into our account. (call 586-808-7445 for details)
What happens to the tickets that I donate? Proceeds from the sale of donated tickets are used to offset operating expenses such as phone, web site, postage, etc. Charity Music Inc. is run and operated utilizing a 100% volunteer effort. Having no paid workers allows us to be very efficient and productive in the programs and services that we provide. |
